Ping próf

Ping is a computer network utility used to test network connections. Það mæla umferð-ferð tíma fyrir skilaboð send frá her til áfangastað tölvu. Það mæla viðbrögð tíma tengingin, eða hversu hratt þú færð svar eftir að þú’hef sent út beiðni.

A good ping means a more responsive connection, sérstaklega í forritum þar tímasetning er mjög mikilvægt. Ping er mældur í millisekúndur (ms). Ping starfar með því að senda Netinu Stjórn Skilaboð Siðareglur (ICMP) echo beiðni pakka að miða og gestgjafi að bíða eftir ICMP svar.

In the process it measures the time from transmission to reception and records any packet loss, too. The results of the test are printed in the form of a statistical summary of the response packets received, including the minimum, maximum, and the mean round-trip times, and sometimes the standard deviation of the mean. Ping próf, on that way, determines whether your computer can communicate with another computer over the network. If network communication is established, ping tests determine the connection latency between the two computers. Ping are used to test troubleshoot connectivity problems with your home network.

The results of a ping test vary depending on the quality of the Internet/network connection. A good broadband Internet connection (wired or wireless) typically results in ping test latency of less than 100 ms, often less than 30 ms.
